PLAYER NOTES

--G Dan Ellis lost 13 pounds during the game dropping from 186 to 173. He required an I.V. to replenish fluids following the game before he was able to answer questions from the media about his fifth shutout of the season and his second win in a row. Ellis has saved 73 of 74 shots in his last two games.

--LW Jan Hlavac and C Jason Arnott each had a goal and an assist. It was Hlavac's third multi-point game of the season and his second since becoming a member of the Predators. Arnott has 16 multi-point games this season.

--C Radek Bonk scored a power-play goal in the third period, ending a 19-game streak without a goal.

--D Kevin Klein, G Pekka Rinne and LW Darcy Hordichuk were healthy scratches. C David Legwand (foot) and D Greg de Vries (upper body) were also scratched.

It's got to be the bus, or the planes, trains and automobiles that the Preds are using on the road trip to explain the disparity between their home and away record. The Preds have lost at home once, that's it, once. They've won on the road once... Their records are just about mirror images of each other. 5-1 at home, 1-6-1 on the road.
