--Nashville is two points behind both Vancouver and Colorado in the playoff race.

--The Predators are 14-0-1 in their last 15 games with Columbus, earning at least a point in each game.

--A broken pane of glass behind G Dan Ellis needed so much time to repair that the period ended early and both teams went off the ice for the second intermission. The remainder of the second period was played when the teams came back on the ice. Then the third period was completed.

QUOTE TO NOTE
"(Dan) Ellis has been a huge part of our last two wins, no question. If you are going to go anywhere this day and age, your goalie has to be the No. 1 guy night in and night out. Ellis has been that for us lately. We need him to keep going, because it is not over yet." -- C Jason Arnott.

It's got to be the bus, or the planes, trains and automobiles that the Preds are using on the road trip to explain the disparity between their home and away record. The Preds have lost at home once, that's it, once. They've won on the road once... Their records are just about mirror images of each other. 5-1 at home, 1-6-1 on the road.

I've been to 4 home games so far th ...(more)

I love that Joel Ward made the "cut".  He has been a delight to watch in the preseason.  He has a nice mix of puck-handling and defensive skills.  Most impressive, however,
