NFC Championship- Giants 23, Packers 20 (OT)

Posted on: January 21, 2008 9:18 pm

Game Summary

Welcome to the Super Bowl Mr. Manning.

Not Peyton, but Eli.

What a game! I am amazed at how terribly the Packers played late in the game with a veteran QB like Brett Favre! Lawrence Tynes had a up-and-down game as well, but came through with a 47 yard FG in OT, a record for longest in Lambeau Field in the playoffs. We can still say "LT in OT!" but this time its the Giants that came through. Brett Favre played O.K until that play in overtime. Remember that Tynes had missed a 36 yard FG at the end of regulation due to a bad snap, and somehow stayed calm and sent the Giants to the Super Bowl. What a wild playoff it has been!
